What is Learning Paths?
Learning Paths is a space to participate in a learning module or course in order to hone in on a particular skill. System Admins or Moderators can enroll users of any role type to participate in a custom Learning Path module and/or course!
Learning Paths are separated into (2) separate facets - Modules & Courses.
- Modules are individual tests and assessments - oftentimes made of multiple pages of assigned tasks/questions. In some cases, you can enroll to complete individual modules. Otherwise, you will find modules connected to one another within a course.
- Courses are courses made up of multiple modules. Depending on the course you are enrolled in, you may be tasked with completing multiple modules in a sequence, or the course will simply exist to house multiple modules that you can complete in any order you wish.
As a learner, you must first enroll in a module in order to participate and complete it. While you can manually enroll in modules/courses, a system admin may first enroll you to a module/course by one of (2) methods:
Enrollment Via Email Notification
A system admin may enroll you to a module from their end. You will then receive an email notification inviting you to get started with the module once you are enrolled. You will also receive notifications along the way to let you know about important due dates and announcements.
Enrollment Via Module URL Link
Your system admin may also share a Module URL link. Following this link will bring you directly to the module and automatically enroll you to it.
The link will first take you to a new page wherein you will be greeted with the option to either ‘Login’ or ‘Create Account +.’ If you have not yet created a Talent account, click 'Create Account+' and enter your credentials. If you already have a Talent account, simply click 'Login.' You will be brought to the first page of the module to complete it!
Accessing Your Learning Path Modules & Courses
You can access the modules you are enrolled in by clicking ‘Learning Paths’ from the top navigation bar. You will then be brought to your 'My Modules' page wherein you will see all of your active, pending, completed, and archived modules/courses in which you are participating.
Sorting/Filtering Your My Modules Page
On your ‘My Modules’ page, you will find all of your modules that meet the following criteria:
- In Progress - Modules that you've enrolled in and have started
- Not Started - Modules that you've enrolled in but have not started
- Completed - Modules that you've completed
- Archived - Modules that you've withdrawn enrollment
At the top of the webpage, you can filter/sort these options one at a time by clicking on one of these (4) options seen above.
For instance, if you were to click the ‘In Progress’ button at the top of your My Modules page, the button would light up with color, and the page would only display the ‘In Progress’ modules.
To remove the filter, click the button you clicked to apply the filter. The button will grey out, and your page will instead display all of the (4) sections of your My Modules page again.
