Why is my Download pop-up blank when I try to download my videos & files?

If you attempt to download an artifact from your Videos & Files page in TORSH Talent by clicking the 'gear icon' and selecting 'Download' or 'Download Original,' and you encounter a blank Download pop-up, it could be for a variety of reasons.

Just in case, we've listed each possibility below complete with their troubleshooting steps:

I. Outdated Web Browser

II. Old Web Browser Cache

III. Disabled Download Permissions in Your Web Browser

IV. Firewall/Security Filtering

 

 

I. Outdated Web Browser:

In order for the TORSH Talent platform to operate at peak performance on your laptop/desktop computer, you will need to ensure that your internet browser is updated to the most recent version. Many web browsers update automatically in the background, but you can always perform a manual update yourself.

 

 

II. Clear Your Web Browser's Cache Only:

Sometimes your web browser can become congested with older temporary files stored in its cache. Clearing this out can better help to ensure you are properly loading the latest version of our website.

 


III. Ensure Your Web Browser Has Downloads Enabled

Most web browsers will have automatic downloads enabled for each webpage by default, but in some cases, the permissions may have accidentally been set to not allow downloads.

 

 

IV. Firewall/Security Filtering

If you are able to login to your TORSH Talent account on a different device that does not experience this issue, then it could be device-specific and an unintended result of a firewall or security filtering setting put in place by your organization. 

 

Consider the following:

  • Is your device a work-provided device owned by your organization?
  • Is your device device-managed by a third party organization?
  • Do you use a work/school network connection or VPN?
