How do Learning Path notifications work in Talent?

In TORSH Talent, you can receive various forms of notifications regarding the progress of your own completion of Learning Path modules/courses as well as the progress of others.

The type of notifications you receive from Learning Paths depends on your role within those modules and courses. Your notifications will differ depending on whether or not your are enrolled as a Moderator and/or a Learner to a module/course in Learning Paths.

Notifications for Moderators

Learning Path Moderators receive progress notifications for other Learners' completion of a module/course. As a Moderator, you will see when other Learners complete a User Response component, a Learning Path Page, a Learning Path Module, or a Learning Path Course.

When a user authors a Learning Path module, they are automatically enrolled as a Moderator to it to ensure they receive these notifications. Other Admins/Coaches can be manually enrolled to a module/course as Moderators to receive those progress notifications as well.

If you do not wish to receive these notifications, you will need to either un-enroll yourself as a Moderator from the specific Learning Path module and/or course, or you can disable the 'Learning Paths' notifications toggle found in your Account Settings page.

To un-enroll yourself as a Moderator from a module/course, first open Learning Paths in the top navigation bar. Then go to the 'Modules Management' tab. Open the specific module/course and click the 'Edit' button in the top, right-hand corner of the module/course's webpage. Go to the 'Settings' tab of the module/course and open the Members tab. Then open the Moderators tab. Find your name listed and click the '...' icon across from it. Select 'Remove.'

If you would like to remain as a Moderator but simply disable the notifications for Learning Paths, first click on your 'profile icon' in the top, right-hand corner of Talent. In the dropdown menu, click 'Account Settings.' On your Account Settings page, scroll down until you find the 'Learning Paths' notification toggle. Toggle it to OFF to disable all Learning Path related notifications for your account - both as a Moderator and a Learner.

Notifications for Learners

Learning Path Learners, or those who participate in a module/course, receive notifications strictly for your own progress through a module/course. As a Learner, you will see when you complete a Learning Path Module or a Learning Path Course.

If you would like to disable the notifications for Learning Paths, first click on your 'profile icon' in the top, right-hand corner of Talent. In the dropdown menu, click 'Account Settings.' On your Account Settings page, scroll down until you find the 'Learning Paths' notification toggle. Toggle it to OFF to disable all Learning Path related notifications for your account.
