How to enable Two-Factor Authentication for your TORSH Talent account

In TORSH Talent, you can enable your account to login via Two-Factor Authentication, allowing for a more secure login experience. With two-factor authentication, your account will have you input a verification code generated by an authentication app of your choice from your mobile device. 

 

To enable these settings for your account, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Login to your TORSH Talent account on a desktop/laptop computer via your web browser.
  2. Click on your 'profile icon' in the top, right-hand corner of your Talent webpage.
  3. Click 'Account Settings' in the dropdown menu.
  4. On your Account Settings page, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page where you will find a 'Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)' section.
  5. In the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) section, click the 'Generate QR Code' button. This will generate a one-time QR code for you to scan using an authenticator app on your mobile device. Remain on this page on your computer.
  6. Next, pull out your mobile device and download your authenticator app of choice from the App Store/Google Play Store.
    1. NOTE: For this example, we recommend Google Authenticator, as it is free, simple, and reliable. It does not require a Gmail account to use.
  7. In your authenticator app, choose to sign-in to the same email address as the one associated with your TORSH Talent account.
    1. NOTE: If you cannot remember the email address associated with your TORSH Talent account, click on your 'profile icon' in TORSH Talent. Your email address will display below your username.
  8. Once you have logged into your authenticator app, choose the option to scan a QR code.
  9. Allow access to your mobile device's camera, and then scan the QR code generated for your TORSH Talent account on your computer.
  10. A 6-digit number will appear in the authenticator app. This is your verification code for logging in. You have (30) seconds to type it into the field in Talent, or else it will generate a new number, and you will need to use that verification code instead, and so on.
  11. In TORSH Talent, click 'Enable Two Factor Authentication.'

 

Moving forward, every time you log in with your email address and password to the website, you will be prompted to then input a 6-digit verification code from your authenticator app from the specific mobile device you used to enable the authentication.
