How to record using the TORSH Talent website

NOTE: We only suggest using this feature if you have a strong internet connection. A loss in connection could result in the loss of your recording. This feature is best for short recordings, as it requires a strong and stable internet connection to record.

Recording video through this tool will not record a copy to your device, so it best advised to use a separate application for recording videos longer than 5 minutes.
For the most optimal experience of recording video via your desktop computer/laptop, we highly recommend using the native camera app on your computer (Camera on Windows PC; QuickTime Player on Mac). Learn more here.

To record on the TORSH Talent website using your webcam, click the blue 'Upload' icon in the top, right-hand corner of the Talent webpage.

This will open the Upload pop-up upload. From here click on the 'Record' option on the left side panel. If requested, grant the application permission to access your microphone and camera.

Before you record, you'll find options to:

Select Camera - to select a camera built-in or connected to your device
Select Microphone - to select a microphone built-in or connected to your device
Countdown - to set a preliminary countdown before your recording begins
Record - to initiate your recording
Cancel - to close out of the recording window

To start recording, click the circular 'record button.'

When your recording starts, you'll find options to:

Pause - to temporarily pause the recording; you can then click to Resume to pick up where you left off in your recording
Stop - to completely end your recording
Cancel - to close out of the recording window and discard your recording

To end your recording, click the square 'stop button.'

When your recording ends, you'll find options to:

Restart - to discard your current recording and start a new recording session
Upload - to upload your finished recording to the website
Cancel - to close out of the recording window and discard your recording

To upload your recording, click the upward-pointing 'upload button.'

NOTE: The recorded capture is only saved to Talent's database when it's uploaded. If you click outside of the Upload window, the recording will be discarded and become unrecoverable.
