How to run a report of video time watched in Report Builder

In Report Builder, you can generate a customizable report of video time watched to track video activity across any date range.

To do so, first go to your top navigation bar and click 'Insights.' This will take you to the Report Builder Hub page.

Next, navigate to the 'Standard Reports' tab.

From there, scroll through the list of templates and open 'Video Engagement History.'

This report displays groupings of individual 'By User' video watched activity, displaying both the overall Video Length of each video watched as well as the amount of Time Watched for each viewing session the user had. Click beside each user listed to display each of their video watch sessions within your designated date range.

Filtering By User

  1. If you wish to filter for the video watch activity performed by a specific person, find the 'Filter' option at the top of the report and click on it.
  2. From there, click '+ Add Condition' and select the 'By User' column to apply filtering to.
  3. Change the 'Operator' to 'Equals' if you wish to make a specific entry or 'Contains' if you wish to filter for any entry containing the word/name you filter for.
  4. Then enter the name you wish to filter for and click 'Filter' to apply your changes.

Adding Columns

You can display even further column data for each video watched listing in your report by going to the Columns menu on the far right-hand side of the report. From there, expand the 'Video' datatype. In the list of columns for Video, scroll down and check off to display any columns you would like to see in your report.

Saving Your Report

You can then save this report for later use by clicking 'Save' in the top, right-hand corner. This report, along with all of its filtering and adjustments, will appear under your Saved Reports in Report Builder.

To export a CSV file of the report, click 'Export.'
