What are Data Forms?

Data Forms are digital forms in TORSH Talent used to capture any information, strategies, or coaching-related data within your system. For example, you might use a data form to describe what happened during a coaching session, or you may have a list of questions wherein you confirm what was completed with notes where applicable. Data forms can even be used as rubrics for an observation and/or self assessment! Depending on your needs, these forms can be a great space to create a shared agenda or even a note taking space for coaching sessions.

With this information, System Admins can then use the data gathered from completed Data Forms for a variety of quantitative data collection to evaluate the coaching process over time.

Within the umbrella of our Data Forms feature, we have (3) individual form tools:

  • Observations - typically Rubric forms filled out by a Coach in regards to their assigned Mentee's practice. Observations are perfect for specifying - or even grading - competency during a coaching session. You can complete an in-person observation, or an observation of specific videos or files shared with your account.
  • Self Assessments - typically Rubric forms filled out by a user for their own practice (as opposed to another user's practice). These forms are often used to specify - or even grade - competency during a reflective feedback session. You can complete an in-person self assessment, or a self assessment of specific videos or files that you've uploaded to your account.
  • Data Forms - typically a more generic note taking form or checklist, often completed for coaching logs or general forms where grading/scores are not applied.
    • NOTE: While a rubric template can be completed for this Data Forms tool, it's more helpful to complete rubrics as observation/self assessment sessions instead.
