What is Network Architecture?

Network Architecture is a TORSH Talent Add-On feature that includes the user role type of Network Administrator. Network Admins have the ability to create and manage systems as well as allocate users to those systems within a single Network. Through Network Architecture, an organization can develop a Network, which is a collection of multiple systems that are linked together but operate separately and privately from one another. Users within the systems of a network have the option to share artifacts between other users of other systems inside the network, if they so please.

Network Admins have almost the exact same privileges as regular System Admins within each system of their Network; however, unlike regular system admins, Network Admins can manage the System Settings for all systems in their Network! They also have access to a variety of network-specific settings that system admins do not have.

NOTE: If you would like to interact with users - sharing videos, managing coaches, etc. - we recommend doing so from a separate System Admin account inside each system. Network Admin accounts are strictly for managing systems and users, not interacting with them.

What Are the Advantages of Network Architecture?

1. Better Oversight and Management

Network Architecture allows for better oversight and organization! Instead of having users separated by groups within a singular system, Networks can have multiple systems and groups within each system. Each system then has their own System Administrators to oversee the needs of specific systems.

For example, an institution may have a wide hierarchy of role types that each require oversight over the other. A network would help to provide:

  • Network Admin(s) - who oversee the Admins, Coaches, and Teachers of all systems in their network.

  • Admins - who oversee the Coaches and Teachers within their respective system.

  • Coaches - who oversee the progress of Teachers within their respective system.

  • Mentees - who help to manage their own progress within their respective system.

2. Helpful Organization of Insights Reporting

Network Architecture can also be very beneficial for data-driven purposes! Systems within a network will only be able to see the data from Insights available to their respective system. However, a Network Admin will be able to pull the Insights data from whatever system they choose. This is especially helpful if, say, your organization has multiple school districts, schools, or subsidiaries to manage, each with their own set of admins, coaches, and teachers.

3. Network Sharing Privileges

Users within a Network, when enabled with the use of Networked PLCs , can have the option to share videos and resources with other across the entire Network, regardless of the system they are a part of.

Network Architecture is here to simplify any complex structure for your coaching/educational needs! If you are interested in upgrading your workflow in Talent to a Network Architecture plan, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager for more details.
